Round 17 Results

With one more round to go in the “home & away” season, here are my numbers for round 17.  Latest odds can be found here. Saints vs Eagles Even I tipped against my own team here!  Tim Kelly having his best game so far in 2020 in a depleted Eagles midfield. 3          T. Kelly 2          A. Gaff 1          L. Ryan Cats vs Tigers Geelong had been the in-form team of the competition after kicking a mammoth score against Essendon last week, but the week off gave Richmond a much needed rest to get ready for finals footy. 3          J. Riewoldt 2          D. Martin 1          T. Stewart Kangaroos vs Dockers Were there even 2 teams on the field in this one?  When Walters kicked his last few goals he looked guilty as it was served on a platter with no defenders anywhere near him.  The Roos didn’t even bother to turn up and the Dockers made the most of it with a miniscule chance of making the finals. 3          N. Fyfe 2          B. Acres 1          D. Mundy Power vs Bombers Port continue to play the brand of football that has placed them on top of the ladder for the vast majority of the season.  Rockliff has hit the form that made him so popular in fantasy circles back in his Brisbane days. 3          T. Rockliff 2          T. Boak 1          O. Wines Giants vs Demons Both teams have a chance of playing finals and both teams seem to do their best not to seal the spot.  In the last few weeks it’s been the Demons taking those honours, but this week GWS provided the choke, with Truck dominating and doing his best to catch Neale. 3          C. Petracca 2          T. Green 1          J. Kelly Blues vs Crows Three in a row and Gibbs playing a magnificent game against his old club, fairy tales do happen?  Crows get a revenge game against the Tigers next week after losing in the GF a few years ago which seemed to have derailed the entire organisation.  I’m tipping Crows! 3          R. Laird 2          M. Crouch 1          S. Walsh Hawks vs Dogs The Hawks would’ve been pretty happy if COVID stopped AFL weeks ago, but unfortunately for them they still have another week to go.  The Dog’s looking at sealing a spot in finals next week, and we’ve seen them be very dangerous in this position before. 3          M. Bontempelli 2          C. Daniel 1          T. Liberatore Swans vs Lions The Swans showed a bit of heart in this very wet matchup, but like Hawks they are probably looking towards next season last week.  Lachie Neale copping a hard tag to take a few fingers off that Brownlow medal. 3          L. Parker 2          J. Kennedy 1          J. Lyons Pies vs Suns It’s actually nice to see a team who needs to win do the work to get there, a rare occurrence in the past month for professional sporting teams.  It helped having De Goey and Treloar coming back into the side and both didn’t miss a beat. 3          J. De Goey 2          A. Treloar 1          T. Miller

2021 Brownlow Preview

I hope everyone has enjoyed the AFL break and free agency, I know I have and I’m already feeling recharged for next season!  I thought I’d put out an early blog to look at the current markets for the

2020 Brownlow Recap

Congratulations to Lachie Neale winning his first Brownlow medal smashing the rest of the field.  It was no surprise as his year was incredibly dominant in a top 2 side which are ingredients for a win

Brownlow Bets #2

New markets are being sporadically released, this will probably be the last lot of novelty bets I wager on until I see the odds for trifecta and quinella markets.  Then my focus will be on single game
