Round 12 Results Blog

The first of the bye rounds has finished with the situation in Victoria already causing changes to the next 2 bye rounds with Richmond vs West Coasts bye moving to round 14. Round 12 saw some Brownlow candidates make some ground on my current leader Oliver. Oliver has firmed into 2nd with the bookies for the medal, however I still feel he is leading the pack. All the latest results can be found here.

Melbourne vs Lions

Well, I keep tipping against them and they keep proving me wrong. Demons continue to roll, slowly knocking off their premiership contenders one by one. This week it was Petracca who led the charge to close the gap with Oliver and Gawn taking out the 2 votes. Zac Baley had a blinder, but in a loss I can only give him the 1 votes. My man Oliver had a great game too, but few ahead of him in this game.

3 C. Petracca

2 M. Gawn

1 Z. Bailey

St Kilda vs Sydney

Sydney did enough to keep the Saints at bay with poor Higgins copping the media brunt of flack during the week. I still felt Saints players stood out in this one with the Swans sharing the work load.

3 J. Steele

2 L. Parker

1 B. Crouch

Adelaide vs Collingwood

I think I got only 1 tip right this weekend, this game wasn’t the successful one… Another close game on the scoreboard, but Jamie Elliott easily the standout kicking 6 goals while his counterpart in Tex Walker struggled to put it through the sticks.

3 J. Elliott

2 R. Laird

1 J. Crisp

Essendon vs Richmond

After they knocked off my West Coast Eagles last week I thought the Bombers had found their new homeground advantage, however it was not to be with the Tigers swooping in and taking the points. Dusty with a game winning performance and Parish scoring the medal in a losing team. I went out on a limb in this game and gave the 3 to Dusty.

3 D. Martin

2 D. Parish

1 Z. Merrett

Carlton vs West Coast

I didn’t think my team could win away let alone at the SCG. Another tip wrong… The Eagles did enough to put the Blues away, but their injury list continues to grow and no respite this week with their bye being moved. Liam Ryan’s 3 goal first quarter set the stage for this win.

3 L. Ryan

2 S. Walsh

1 A. Gaff

Fremantle vs Western

Freo fought hard in this one until injury decimated them. Bontempelli putting on a masterclass.

3 M. Bontempelli

2 J. Macrae

1 L. Hunter

Round 10 Results Blog

A great round of football this weekend for round 10, with many very close to being a draw. The count is still tight at the top, but I now have a clear solidified favourite in Clayton Oliver who I tip
