Round 10 Results Blog

A great round of football this weekend for round 10, with many very close to being a draw. The count is still tight at the top, but I now have a clear solidified favourite in Clayton Oliver who I tipped as my dark horse in my pre-season blog at the end of the 2020 season. Checkout the latest Brownlow odds here and checkout the updated leaderboards.

Brisbane vs Richmond

Brisbane showed their usual homeground dominance with McCluggage having a huge first half. Richmond don’t seem to be the powerhouse of the past few seasons, but have they just not hit their peak yet?

3 H. McCluggage

2 J. Lyons

1 D. Zorko

Carlton vs Hawthorn

Carlton get a much needed win here, with Sam Walsh again in some blistering form. Cripps is getting back to his best and we saw the Mitchell of old return.

3 S. Walsh

2 T. Mitchell

1 P. Cripps

Geelong vs Gold Coast

This one was over early with the Suns making it look semi respectful with a few late goals. Selwood putting his hand up for the 3 votes in this game.

3 J. Selwood

2 Q. Narkle

1 C. Guthrie

Adelaide vs Melbourne

This one arguably was the game of the round with Tex kicking the winning goal in the final minute to put the Crows ahead, and ultimately get the win. Oliver easily for the 3 votes in this one.

3 C. Oliver

2 R. Laird

1 C. Petracca

Western vs St Kilda

There were close games, and then there was this. If the Dogs kicked a bit straighter we might’ve been looking into the record books. The single vote could go a few ways in this one with Naughton kicking 5, but missing out in my count.

3 M. Bontempelli

2 J. Macrae

1 T. Liberatore

Fremantle vs Sydney

This was probably the 2nd best game of the round with the lead changing several times in the final quarter. Fyfe standing up in the final term to lock in the win against a Buddy 6 pack.

3 N. Fyfe

2 L. Franklin

1 R. Lobb

GWS vs West Coast

GWS held their nerve at home in this one, West Coast need some advice from their crosstown colleagues, the Perth Wildcats to learn how to perform under pressure…

3 T. Green

2 T. Taranto

1 T. Kelly

Collingwood vs Port

This game looked over very early with the Pies dominating out the gate, incredibly they crumbled to lose to Port by a single point. If this isn’t rock bottom for Collingowood then I don’t know what is.

3 B. Grundy

2 R. Gray

1 O. Wines

Essendon vs North

The Bombers smashed the hapless Roos here, with Parish looking like an absolute jet since becoming a full time midfielder.

3 D. Parish

2 Z. Merrett

1 B. Cunnington
